A frost advisory is in effect for our area for Monday night through Tuesday morning. Temperatures are forecast to drop into the middle 30s, but ground temperatures could fall to freezing and create a frost. Low lying areas - like river valleys - will likely see to coldest temperatures. Certainly, bring in potted plants and cover tender bedding plants if you can.
Warming temperatures will return Tuesday with southeast winds around 10 mph for the afternoon. Enjoy nice sunshine with high temperatures around 70.
Fair skies are expected for Tuesday night with low temperatures in the low to middle 40s. Still way below normal, but plants should not have problems.
Mostly clear skies and continued warming temperatures are forecast through the weekend. Temperatures should be back in the middle 70s Wednesday and around 80 Thursday. Upper 80s are expected for Friday and lower 90s will likely be with us Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
We could be looking at elevated wildfire risk as we get into Sunday.
